US Using UN Platform Against Pakistan

After tabling resolution on Balochistan Issue on February 17, 2012, by US House of Representatives Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) and supporting undercover NGO’s mission at the occasion of 19th session of United Nation Human Rights Commission (UNHRC), have left no doubt that US and her ally India are making serious efforts to create an ‘Independent Great Balochistan” (comprising of Iranian, Pakistani and Afghan territory).

In the sequel of efforts of launching propaganda campaign, on 4 March 2012 Baloch leadership disseminated an email message to Afghan friends of Balochistan. According to the “email” Baloch activists residing in different parts of world and their supporters are asking them (Baloch leadership) to contact US Senators through phone calls and fax messages to express their concern over alleged violations of human rights in Balochistan by ISI, MI and FC. People were advised to mainly target ISI and to urge the US Govt to seize the aid of Pakistan due to its human rights violations, Baloch genocide and support to Taliban.

It was directed in the email to request the US Govt to open talks with prominent Balochistan leaders such as Hyrbyair Marri, khan of lakat, BD and Dr Allah Nazar Baloch copy of email message is as attached. Baloch sub nationalists have increased their activities after presenting the resolution by US senators supporting the supporting the Balochistan’s independence struggle. The contents of the email indicate that Baloch leadership is building up pressure on Pakistan to perpetuate their nefarious designs which require adequate attention at all levels.

19th session of United National Council on Human Rights schooled from February 27 to March 23, 2012 held in Geneva. Some of foreign sponsored anti Pakistan Baloch nationalists lords: Hybrair Marri, Mehran Baloch, Munir Mengal, Noorud Din Menglal, Samand Baloach and Kashmir/Sindhi Sub Nationalists Abdul Hameed Khan, Hidyat Bhutto, Lakhu Lohana, Sange Hassan Sering, Nazir Ghilani, Mumtaz Khan, Muhammad Anwar and Arif Ajaika reached to Geneva and tried to sneak through aiming of carrying anti-Pakistan propaganda while using United Nations Organization(UNO) forums . It would not be wrong in saying that to put pressure on Pakistan for restoring of NATO supply and foregoing Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline Project, U.S. has launched an organized campaign against Islamabad while using local, foreign media and UNO’s forum.

In this connection on March 8 tried to make an intervention demanding the rights of self determination for Balochistan under Agenda item3 in the session. On March 14 Neena Patek (Swiss national) made an intervention under agenda item 4 highlighted the rights of self determination for Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and urged Pakistan to respect human rights under the auspices of Indian NGO “World Environment and Resource Council”. Pakistan delegate raise the point of order requesting the Vice President HRC not to allow the statement that pinch on the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity of states as enshrined in UN Charter, therefore such remarks should expunged and speaker should not indulge in such remarks. U.S. meddling in Balochistan exposed when her delegation took the floor and supported the lady and requested the Vice President HRC that she should be permitted to speak. Consequently, Vice president HRC asked lady to complete her settlement. The so called human rights activists did not uttered a single word to condemn the brutality of Indian security forces against minorities and moist in Kashmir, Maoists, East Punjab, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

He was stopped to make intervention through own Pakistani delegates (UN Council). On the same day Mehran Baloch, Noorud Din Mengle, Richard Chariski, Member European Parliament Peter Thatchel, Human Rights Activists and Tariq Fateh, journalist voiced for free Balochistan. Om March 8, on the direction of US and Indian lobby sponsored Baloch and Kashmiri nationalists have staged protest near the broken chair outside the UN.

They were carrying placards of free Balochistan, Right of self determination in the inalienable Right of the Baloch people and Balochistan forcefully occupied by Pakistan in 1948. On 9 March 2012, Nazir Gillani hosted a dinner of Kashmiri sub nationalists at hotel Intercontinental, Geneva. In this dinner, reliably has been learnt that Nazir Gillani tried to convince the attendees to prepare a paper covering agenda points; (One) Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai was not the true representative of Kashmiri people (secondly) the Kashmiri for Pakistan side participating in the UN session was ISI sponsored (thirdly) the Kashmir Centre at London and Brussels were also being managed by ISI as Kashmir Centre.

Although Nazir Gillani tried to foment poison against ISI and internationalized(One) Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai was not the true representative of Kashmiri people (secondly) the Kashmiri for Pakistan side particip0ating in the UN session was ISI sponsored (thirdly) the Kashmir Centre at London and Brussels were also being managed by ISI as Kashmir Centre. USA. Balochistan issue but most of the Kashmiries present in the dinner objected the idea while commenting that they should not indulge in this controversy.

Notably, Akhtar Mengal, with the help of local and foreign media and some of represents of so called Baloch lords is playing double game. On one hand he is meeting with Israeli and US officials and on the other hand he has instructed his brother who is in London to raise their Lashkar-e-Balochistan, recruit more people, and equip them with more Arms. He has also decided in a meeting with members of central executive committee of his party to take part in elections.

Akhtar Mengla wants to show US and others that he is the person who has political power in Balochistan as well as an armed group, so that he may get a big chunk from the organizations funding Baloch movement. Reportedly Akhtar Menngal will not come to Pakistan because there is threat to his life but his party will take part in elections. Reportedly Akhtar Mangle has discussed the future government of Greater Balochistan too. He has the desire to become the founder and first president, whereas Bramdagh Bugti would be asked to take over the portfolio of defence minister’ future “Greater Balochistan”. The sources further reveal that Indian masters have approved the idea of Akhter Mengle despite knowing that Bugti family would never be agreed to such type of arrangements.

On 10 and 12 March 2012, Bramdagh Bugti hosted a dinner for Baloch / Kashmiri / MQM sub nationalists at hotel President Wilson, Geneva which was attended by Mehran Baloch, Noor ud Din Mengal, Samad Baloch, Shukat Ali Kashmiri, Abdul Hameed Kha, Kakhu Lohana, Sange Sassan sering. Muhammad Anwar, Arif Ajiaka, Jameel Maqsood and Murtaza Shah, GEO Correspondent.

Reportedly, Bramdagh Bugti has thanks the local and foreign media and US members for raising voice for the liberation of Balochistan.

It is worth mentioning here that Baloch are not more than 5 % of total population whereas so called lords are only representing few thousand of Baloch people.

Majority of Baloch are patriotic and peaceful Pakistani. The atmosphere in the province of Balochistan is tense and exasperating duly marred with violent acts of killing innocent people / political opponents, looting and kidnapping unarmed fellow citizens for the purposes of getting payoffs and ransom, challenging the writ of the Govt through armed attacks against Law Enforcement Agencies / Frontier Constabulary and shifting blame on to military and FC, thereby creating further chaos and disorder in the province. Unfortunately the political leadership both at provincial and federal levels appears to be least bothered, though time is running out as foreign agencies are increasing their clout to destabilize the province.

The political leadership along with few media backers awkwardly go on reiterating that situation in Balochistan has been worsened due to mess created by Army / ISI / FC. This is extremely cynical and contemptuous, as political Govt is in place for the last over four years and it is about time for the civilian Govt to complete their five years’ term. Media and the public opinion builders show bigotry / prejudice against Army / ISI / FC and still blame the previous Govt / Army / FC for their total failure to complete any of their developmental projects or to address the problem of law and order situation, political turmoil and foreign interference in the province. Huge amounts of developmental funds have been expended by political leaders who still govern the province but have failed to arrange / provide any relief to the people of Balochistan.

Media should suggest to all concerned to stop blaming Army / ISI / FC for matters related to failure of political leadership and give chance to pro-federation majority to express their views on unity of federation, patriotism and loyalty to Pakistan, rejecting the illegal demands of few delinquent separatists and wayward rebels.

In short, the recent UN Session came soon after the US congressional supporting the right of self-determination of Balochistan. Though, US government has distanced itself from the steps taken by the Congressmen but the move has augmented the activities of Baloch sub nationals who are now actively lobbying for a similar move in EU and UK parliaments. The support of US delegates for Ms. Neena Patek Swiss national during intervention under Agenda item 4 clearly indicates that US has made her mind to put pressure on Pakistan on Balochistan issue. Moreover, this was the first time that US diplomats interfered on Pakistan’s point of order on independence of Balochistan.

Pakistan government should take steps to improve upon the situation while under taking development project and implementation on “Agaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan”. Pakistan should also file a case against the NGO’s for going against the mandate of NGO’s ECOSOC status and UN charter.

NEW DELHI: India’s tank fleet lacks ammunition, its air defences are “97 percent obsolete” and its elite forces lack essential arms, the country’s army chief wrote in an explosive letter leaked Wednesday.

The letter to the prime minister dated March 12 – widely reported by the Indian media – lists the shortcomings of the armed forces in embarrassing detail in a blow to the government and the Asian giant’s military prestige.

Its publication also ups the stakes in a public battle between army chief General VK Singh and the government which began with a dispute over Singh’s retirement earlier this year.

“The state of the major (fighting) arms i.e. mechanised forces, artillery, air defence, infantry and special forces, as well as the engineers and signals, is indeed alarming,” Singh wrote in the letter, DNA newspaper reported.

The army’s entire tank fleet is “devoid of critical ammunition to defeat enemy tanks”, while the air defence system is “97% obsolete and it doesn’t give the deemed confidence to protect… from the air,” he wrote, according to DNA.

The infantry is crippled with “deficiencies” and lacks night fighting equipment, while the elite special forces are “woefully short” of “essential weapons”.

Singh also told The Hindu newspaper this week that he had informed Defence Minister A.K Antony of a $2.8 million bribe offered to him in 2010, leading to embarrassing questions as to why the government did not order an enquiry.

Antony told parliament on Wednesday that he was aware of the letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and he would reply appropriately.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir's Lies and unIslamic Beliefs Exposed

Have you ever wondered how organizations such as Hizb ut-Tahrir operate?

Their activities are shrouded in secrecy and our all-powerful agencies say that they have had little success in dismantling the network. While agencies might be doing their best, it looks like they have not penetrated the actual methods of communications between the leaders, activists and low ranking associates of the group.

The history of Hizb ut-Tahrir’s activities in Pakistan is relatively new. The UK based group surfaced in different varsities of Pakistan right after Musharraf agreed to join the war against terrorism. They targeted educated young Pakistanis in different colleges and universities and their method of attack was new and quite successful.

First encounter with Hizb ut-Tahrir

During the summer of 2001, I received a call from a friend of mine on my cell phone. These were the days when calls on cell phones were not cheap so it was pretty obvious that the matter was urgent. He said he wanted me to go to a function. I was told that ‘they’ had arranged for 200 people but only a few people turned up and now they desperately needed an audience.

My friend asked me to bring as many people as I could. He promised me that he would pay for their cab fares as well. I was hesitant about recommending something I had not experienced, so I went alone.

To my utter surprise, the gathering was a protest arranged by Hizb ut-Tahrir Islamabad Chapter to protest the American attack on Afghanistan. Being just 16-years-old and fed with what I had seen around me, I was eager to get the ‘real facts’ that the western media was keeping from us.

Before the commencement of the actual event, we were asked to detour to G-9 Markaz (commonly known as Karachi Company) to persuade people to come to the protest. As I was new to all this, I clung to my friend who along with other activists went to the main wagon stop and asked people to join them and listen to the real facts behind the attack on Afghanistan and plans of kafirs about Pakistan in particular, and Muslim ummah in general.

While most of the elders we approached looked unimpressed by the empty rhetoric, teenagers like me were greatly amused. Some people seemed to shy away until they were told that there was a lavish meal with qorma and biryani after the event. The lucrative offer attracted many people and we managed to convince at least 80 people to come to the protest with us.

During the protest, I interacted with students who were from different colleges and universities of Islamabad. Surprisingly, most of them were brought by their friends under the pretext of some function where attendees didn’t show up or where food was going to be served. The most astonishing fact was that a few kids had been told that there was a fight between two rival gangs and their friends were in dire need of help. I didn’t understand why the group needed to lie to people to bring in an audience!

Don’t you want to know the ‘real’ facts?

The protest started with recitation from the Holy Quran. The verse quoted was a famous one from Surah Ahzaab that deals with the friendship with Jews and Christians. The speaker explained that Jews and Christians (he explicitly said ‘West and Western sponsored NGOs’ after that) were afraid of the ‘rise of Islam in Afghanistan and wanted to wipeout the caliphate from there and it has been mentioned in a Hadith as well.’

He went on to recite a Hadith about the rise of an Islamic Army from Khurasan and told us that Khurasaan is the old name of Afghanistan. He said that the youth need to stand up and there is a need for Hazrat Mauz (RA) and Maaz (RA) to cater to the problem of Western imperialism.

There were three speeches with loads of what I now understand was liberal bashing; a speaker asked those present to take an oath that they will stand up to defend Islam. We were told that American agents are like the munafiqeen of Medina and they pronounced the decrees on the basis of hypocrisy. My mind was confused but I was excited. I really wanted to know about the ‘real history’ of events and verses that speakers were quoting (or misquoting) and interpreting (or misinterpreting).

The speakers said that Islam and Pakistan were in danger and that USA will destroy our nuclear bomb because they are afraid of the power of the caliphate. According to the men Islamic territories in Spain, Armenia, Russia and in other countries of Eastern Europe could be reclaimed if we just united on a one-point agenda of caliphate and supported the caliphate in Afghanistan.

Questioning the teacher

The next day I was in my college library going through several books of Islamic History and translations of the Holy Quran. I wrote a list of questions on a piece of paper and called my friend who told me that there was a dars at the residence of the mentor of Hizb ut-Tahrir in I-10/2.

We went there later in the evening. The dars included the usual stuff: mostly anti-America rhetoric, although notably the speaker didn’t mention the word Taliban or Taliban ideology. At the end of the dars, I raised my hand to ask the speaker about the questions that were in my mind.

Honestly, I had a blast.

After answering a few of my queries however, the speaker stopped me from asking further questions and quoted a hadith that said that there is a thin line between Islam and Kufar. I immediately knew that he was about to declare me Kafir. I didn’t lose hope, I attended many other sessions and tried to expunge my doubts, but to no avail.

My last experience with the Hizb ut-Tahrir was in the aftermath of the earthquake in 2005. During the usual dars and Caliphate rhetoric (that I was not satisfied with) the speaker said that the earthquake was occurred because we are not doing enough to bring shariah in Pakistan. I wanted to ask which Shariah? There are so many versions and everyone knows that.

It didn’t continue for long, I was already detached and unconvinced from the misinterpretation of Quran and Hadith and misuse of different verses of Quran in the pamphlets that HuT distributed after every Friday prayers outside mosques. This usually happened in Sector I-10, the whole operation of distribution of pamphlets and arrangements of lectures was done by a man who was working at a government department.

Cutting ties with Hizb ut-Tahrir

I still remember the day when I ceased all contact with everyone who was associated with HuT. It was the day they termed suicide bombings as a justifiable response to the situation by saying an eye for an eye.

The statement was just between people close to the patron of HuT I-10 and it was not said openly.

I had always suppressed my thoughts about my first encounter with Hizb ut-Tahrir.

I was unable to understand why they lied to people and told them about the lavish dinner after the meeting?

Why didn’t they offer some realistic plans about issues like electricity, gas and so many others?

Their answer to every question is Muslims should bring Caliphate and everything will be fine!

Pakistan Army's Pragmatic Approach leading Balochistan towards prosperity

ISLAMABAD: Whereas the steps being taken by the Pakistan Army for the establishment of peace in Balochistan and to remove the sense of deprivation among people of the province are yielding positive results, the growing Taliban threat has forced the Indian spymasters to shift from Afghanistan to the Gulf states where they are operating as businessmen.

“The steps being taken by the army under the guidance of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani to establish peace in Balochistan and remove the sense of deprivation among the people of the province are yielding positive results, causing distress to the Indian intelligence agencies,” an official source said here on Wednesday, requesting anonymity. “A positive change is being witnessed in the thinking of common Baloch people because of the recruitment of Baloch youths in the army and other security institutions on priority basis,” he said.

The source said the worries of the Indian intelligence officials are, however, growing because of the change in thinking of the Baloch youths while the recruitment of the Baloch youths in the army and security institutions on priority basis has saved Pakistan from a battle front, which was more dangerous than Waziristan because lava was boiling there. He said the Indian spying network, which was targeting Balochistan since long, has almost been defeated now because the Balochistan policy of General Kayani has shattered the Indian policy of misleading the Baloch youths. “When he had taken over as the army chief, General Kayani faced the toughest and the biggest challenge of establishing peace in Balochistan and also defeating the Indian campaign of misleading the Baloch youths,” the source said. “General Kayani was extremely serious in addressing the Balochistan problem and he took pragmatic measures, which are now yielding positive results,” he remarked.

The source revealed that the country’s top security agency achieved highly important successes during the past three years but details of those successes could not be made public because of their sensitive nature. He said these successes also helped other security agencies of the country to achieve their goals. He said the powers that wanted to pit the Baloch people against other provinces and national institutions were behind the kidnapping and target killing incidents in the province during the past few years.

“The foreign elements have been involved in planning the killing of passengers of public transport in different cities and districts of Balochistan and the most prominent among these elements were the Indians. The term of Baloch Liberation Army was also introduced by the Indian intelligence agencies because India wanted to infuse into the Baloch youths the hatred against other provinces and the army,” the source said.

“Although the Indians had initially succeeded in their nefarious designs to a great extent and their operations were on their peak following the death of Nawab Akbar Bugti, the strategy devised by General Kayani and implemented by the army to bringing the Baloch people, particularly youths, into the national mainstream has now completely changed the scenario,” he added.

The source pointed out that because of the growing threat of the Taliban attacks, the senior Indian intelligence officers have shifted from Afghanistan to the Gulf states in the vicinity of Balochistan, where they are posing as businessmen and are providing jobs to Baloch youths so as to create afresh an atmosphere of hate in Balochistan. This is the reason that the Pakistani establishment is trying to provide maximum job and business opportunities to Baloch youths to save them from the economic blackmailing of Indians, he remarked.

When contacted by The News for comments, former Inter-Services Intelligence chief Lt Gen (R) Hamid Gul said no doubt General Kayani is doing good work in Balochistan because the situation had worsened in that province during the Musharraf regime. He said that under a long-term policy, General Kayani recruited the Baloch youths in the army and also took other measures on priority basis to address the sense of deprivation among Baloch people.

“However, the president and prime minister too should give priority to Balochistan, as the government and civil institutions have yet much to do there and a short-term policy is also needed because India and the US do not want peace in Balochistan. Therefore, the elimination of the Indian and US influence there is utmost necessary,” he commented.

US's ill will - No action taken against Salala Incident

Official says US military not planning to discipline any of its forces over the November 26 Nato attack.

WASHINGTON: The US military is not planning to discipline any of its forces over a cross-border skirmish last year that left 24 Pakistani soldiers dead and plunged Washington-Islamabad ties to their lowest point in years, a US military official said on Saturday.

A US military investigation last year had already exonerated American troops operating in Afghanistan from inappropriate use of force against the Pakistani forces – even as the US military acknowledged some of the blame in the incident.

That concocted investigation concluded that American troops, given what information they had available to them at the time, acted in self-defense and with appropriate force after being fired on by the Pakistanis just across the border.

The US military official, speaking to Reuters on condition of anonymity, did not offer further details about the subsequent decision not to discipline US forces.

Pakistan shut off ground supply lines to the US-led Nato mission in Afghanistan on November 26 over the incident.

The United States expressed regret for the loss of life, but the US military investigation blamed Pakistani soldiers for firing first at Natoforces as they prepared for a mission in the remote corner of eastern Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s military roundly rejected the US findings, saying that apportioning any blame on Pakistani forces was “unjustified and unacceptable”.

The deliberate provocation from US against Pakistan Army is the representation of their ill will against our Army who is the most proficient organized body of Pakistan.

280 Pakistani Soldiers leave for UN Mission

Lahore - A batch of 280 Pakistani troops left from Allama Iqbal International Airport here Saturday on a UN mission for war-ravaged Liberia.

Pakistan peacekeeping troops have been serving in Liberia for the last three years and have played a pivotal role in maintaining secure and stable environment in the most volatile regions of the country. They have largely contributed towards capacity building of the vital national infrastructure of the strife-stricken African country.

Liberia, a small country located at the tip of western coast of Africa next to Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast, became a republic in 1847. The Liberian economy depends mainly on export of natural resources. The decades of genocide and civil strife between different ethnic groups for the control of these natural resources have virtually damaged the country’s infrastructure. Liberia’s stability is vital to its neighbouring countries, which have witnessed turbulence as a result of the fallout of continued violence.

It may be mentioned that Pakistan Army peacekeeping contingents have rendered dedicated services in neighbouring Sierra Leone and Ivory Coast by playing a major role in stabilising the volatile situation in these war ravaged-countries.

They ensured security, facilitated repatriation of refugees and restored writ of the democratically elected government through smooth transition.

Najam Sethi's Conspiracies against Pak Army and ISI exposed

In the TFT editorial "ISI has taken over GHQ" Najam Sethi in his immense wisdom says, "intelligence services must consciously be kept at arms length from GHQ because field commanders must not get contaminated or tainted by cloak and dagger operations in grey zones". And then goes on to name a few DGs ISI who were either not given command and 'side lined' to other unimportant staff appointments or were retired prematurely.

The man doesn't have the basic idea of the postings and placement of senior army officers and blurts out what comes to his mind randomly. When he says that the Intelligence Generals must be kept away from the GHQ so that Field Commanders are not contaminated, does he know that there are no field commanders in the GHQ except the COAS, who commands the entire army.

All others at the GHQ are Staff Officers and Principal Staff Officers (PSOs), who do not even command the peons (Naib Qasids) of their offices. Field commanders are in the field and for his easy understanding they are the Corps Commanders, Divisional Commanders, Brigade Commanders down to Battalion and Company and Platoon commanders.

Again, if we go by his analogy of keeping the DG ISI (Senior most Intelligence Officer) away from the field, then could he tell us where did Lt Gen Nadeem Taj go after his being posted out from the ISI? Well, he was appointed Corps Commander Gujranwala and he did not contaminate the command in any way. Similarly, there could be many other examples of the ISI officers being posted to the army Field Appointments.

Trouble with such pseudo intellectuals (mostly anchor persons) is that they are the Misters 'Know It All' and can wield their pen on any subject under the sun and that too authoritatively. Only, what they don't know is their own profession, where the tuppence of a Suhafi persistently shoves the mic most rudely and arrogantly into the face of a dignitary much elder and superior in status and stature to him.

Stolen NATO Army Kits on Sale in Pakistan!

London, March 18 (IANS) Stockpiles of NATO military equipment meant for use against the Taliban are being sold in Pakistan's black market, a British media report said.

Stolen military-issue knives, Kevlar bulletproof vests, tool kits, flares, first aid sets and even official stationery are on sale in Pakistan, the Daily Express reported.

According to the report, in Pakistan's Karkhano market in Peshawar city, near Afghan border, merchants display masses of camouflage clothing and military-grade insect repellent at very low prices.

A vendor confirmed, the kit came from NATO lorries plundered on the border and the US-run Baghram air base, where entire containers are illegally bought and auctioned off, One vendor confirmed .

Buyers "come from all over Pakistan, even foreigners, and are attracted because it is of good quality and is being sold very cheaply", he said.

"Much of this kit may have been stolen during hijacking of the convoys, but some is certainly being sold by Afghan National Army forces," said Patrick Mercer, a British MP.

Missing persons: ISI, MI counsel says RAW and Mossad involved

ISLAMABAD:
The counsel for Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) has revealed in the Supreme Court that Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Israel’s Mossad are active in Pakistan. He was speaking during the hearing of the missing persons case.

He said that they were behind kidnappings in the country and were being helped by terrorist groups.

The chief justice asked the defence counsel if the agencies had any credible information of the involvement of RAW and Mossad, and why they did not take any against them. “We did not bar you from taking action against RAW and Mossad.”

Terming the intelligence agencies’ reply on Adiala missing persons unsatisfactory, the apex court on Friday took suo motu notice against the abduction of a boy who used to provide food at camps set up by the relatives of missing persons outside parliament.

A three judge-bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry directed Inspector General of Police Islamabad and Attorney General of Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq to submit a report of the incident by March 17 and present the abductee before the court on March 19.

Addressing Maulvi Anwarul Haq and Raja Irshad, counsel for ISI and MI, the chief justice said that this time a man was abducted right under the nose of the federal government. Advocate Tariq Asad the counsel for missing persons told the court that Omar Mehmood Khan was picked up by the intelligence agencies because he used to serve the food to the families at the missing persons’ camp at D-Chowk (in front of the Parliament).

Raja Arshad rejected the allegations, stating that the military intelligence agencies were not involved in missing persons’ episodes.

A family recently returned from Canada through a letter had informed the Human Rights Cell of the apex court that one of their family members, Omar Mehmood Khan, 24, was abducted by the agencies on March 10 near Orchid Scheme in Islamabad.

“After going through the contents of the letter last night, we issued notices to IGP Islamabad that what kind of high-handedness was underway by none other than officials of agencies, even in the federal capital city,” the chief justice informed the attorney general.

The letter suggests that Omar was kidnapped in the same style as was used in picking up many other missing persons. Men driving two double cabins with tinted glasses, a black corolla, a white Suzuki Baleno and a Suzuki Mehran picked up the boy in front of his father, mother and a younger brother.

Omar’s mother, Dr Rubina was also present in the court today. The chief justice, while calming her down, said that “we will not allow anyone to act above the law”, adding that the agencies were not above the Constitution.

Advocate Raja Irshad asked the court why all blame was leveled on the ISI and MI. The chief justice said that, “We respect our armed forces and intelligence agencies, but when they detracted then the court and media expressed concerns and you cannot stop us from this.”

During the last hearing, the court had rejected explanatory reports submitted by the lawyer of the agencies and termed them unsatisfactory, and had also sought a detailed report from the chief secretary of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The K-P chief secretary submitted a report on the health of inmates today, which was appreciated by the court.

Counsel for detainee Hafiz Majid, Advocate Tariq Asad informed the court that his client was suffering from Cancer and Hepatitis C, and asked that permission be granted to shift him to Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital in Lahore.

The court was informed that the health condition of at least three prisoners was still not satisfactory. The chief justice asked Raja Irshad how the detainees were being treated. “Were they not human? Why a fair trial right was denied to them? We will proceed against you after deciding initial things – you will tell us how the four of them died in your custody.”

Advocate general of K-P will submit a report within three days on which internment centers inmates will be kept at. The court also asked him to arrange a place where relatives of these inmates could see them easily.

Pakistan Army VS World Enemies

It looked impressive when the French army chief Gen Bertrand Ract-Madoux laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada outside the GHQ on March 13, a gesture of recognition of the matchless contribution of Pakistan armed forces' personnel and officers, by a coalition partner, which the Americans and other NATO member countries should also follow suit. Gen Kayani speaking on the occasion rightly said that the sacrifices made by the Pakistan army were more than that of the NATO forces in Afghanistan..."Therefore it required appreciation and not baseless accusations." This leads us to draw a little comparison between the Pakistan armed forces and the contemporary armies of the world. The most unforgettable and, according to Karzai, "unforgivable" act of brutality in Kandahar by the American troops was killing a numberof unarmed Afghan civilians. A number of similar incidents by the Americans remind us of the pressure and frustration they suffer internally as they do not willingly accept their postings into the war zones of Afghanistan or elsewhere in the combat areas. Recently, a Major
of the US Army, in his headquarters in USA, opened fire on his colleagues and killed four of them, just because he was opposed to his posting in Afghanistan. One wonders whether the Pakistan Army troops face a similar kind of pressure or frustration while going into war. Why
even a single incident of such kind has never occurred in the entire history of the Pakistan military? There might have been at the beginninga difference in opinion on whether or not the war on terror was the war of Pakistan, but later when it started engulfing Pakistan and hitting
its security forces, the consensus and focus led to not only motivation but sweeping actions by the forces in which our troops' individual resolve for valour and sacrifice was seen at its peak. Not to mention that there have been over 3,700 martyrdoms in this ongoing war. But the
great aspect, which is not highlighted, is the height of patience, resoluteness and resilience demonstrated by our men and officers during the course of this asymmetrical warfare. The inhuman attitude of US-NATO troops, like pissing on dead bodies and burning of the copies of Quran in Afghanistan shows the level of ethics and morality the troops of the most civilized nation adhere to.

Suicide among young Army personnel rose 80% between 2004 and 2008, according to the Los Angeles Times. In the last two years that had data available for the study — 2007 and 2008 — 255 soldiers took their lives. The authors of the study, the Army Public Health Command (APHC), estimated that 25% to 50% of the suicides were directly related to combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Suicide rates among active US Army personnel were decreasing between 1977 and 2003.

The number of suicides is "unprecedented in over 30 years of US Army records," according to the APHC, and the increase in deaths parallels the increasing rates of depression and other mental health conditions among soldiers, reported The Daily Mail.

The study's authors called the high presence of mental health disorders among enlisted personnel "sentinels for suicide risk," according to The Baltimore Sun. From 2000 to 2008, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and substance-abuse disorders have soared among Army personnel. During the same time, the number of visits for mental health disorders in the Army nearly doubled.

Neo Con New Middle East Map

By Brig Nadir Mir

Recently, a resolution was passed in the US Congress to divide Pakistan and carve out an ‘independent Balochistan’. With this, an old neocon dream was revived. This time the so-called globalists and propagandists, masquerading as human right activists, are the cheerleaders. Against this backdrop, Colonel Ralph Peter’s map of the ‘New Middle East’ truncating, balkanising every country – Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan – was reproduced. Despite the fact that it was scorned and reviled even at the time of its earlier exhibition.

It seems that the neocons and influential globalists of America desperately want to initiate World War III. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger’s interview, If you can’t hear the drums of war, you must be deaf, with Alfred Heinz on November 27, 2011, is a clear expression of this desire.

The neocon-globalist geopolitical wish list – the rationale for the so-called ‘independent Balochistan’ – is as under:

- Cripple Pakistan by separating Balochistan (46 percent of its territory with large mineral resources, besides the future global port of Gwadar).

- Balkanised Pakistan forced to give up its nuclear arsenal.

- Establish India’s hegemony over Pakistan.

- Leftover US forces in Afghanistan and US controlled ‘new Balochistan’ to act as strategic central position for multi- regions.

- US controlled Afghanistan-Balochistan to link the Central Asian energy oil and gas pipelines with Gwadar.

- Delink Pakistan and Iran by carving out Balochistan and obviate the Iran-Pakistan energy/gas pipelines.

- Establish US military presence in Balochistan for upcoming US-Israeli war against Iran.

- Block Russia-Pak cooperation with Gazprom (Russian Gas Company) reaching Gwadar.

- Balochistan and Kurdistan to be artificially created to have imperialist bases in the heartland of Islam.

- ‘Independent Balochistan’ – a prelude for Kurdistan to break away from Turkey; separate Xinjiang and Tibet from China; Siberia from Russia; and separate Makkah and Madinah from Saudi Arabia.

- US military presence in Gwadar to control the Gulf. To use the port as an alternative for USA’s 5th fleet based in Bahrain or another fleet if brought near the Gulf.

- Use Gwadar as a military base for intervention in the Saudi Peninsula.

The rationale of these ill-intentioned pseudo thinkers is absolutely absurd. According to them, since the Pakistani elite is exploiting Balochistan, so it should be balkanised. Those who believe that Balochistan should not be a part of Pakistan are geopolitical imbeciles. Indeed, the propagandists making these claims are clueless about regional realities because:

  • Pakistan: It will fight a war, even a nuclear war of national survival to defend itself.
  • Iran: The Iranian Seistan is part of Balochistan, which the imperialists want to carve out. Therefore, Iran will fight a war in unison with Pakistan to defend Balochistan against the US threats.
  • Afghanistan: The Taliban are winning; the Americans are leaving. No Afghan – not even Karzai – will cede the Afghan territory to become ‘greater independent Balochistan’. Nor can landlocked Kabul take up fights with both Islamabad and Tehran.
  • Turkey: The Turks will support Pakistan and oppose independent Balochistan. Those who are plotting Balochistan also support Kurdistan to balkanise Turkey. Turkey will oppose Balochistan splitting by Nato, even if Nato is foolhardy to play the diabolical game of neocons.
  • Saudi Arabia: The Saudis, too, will support Pakistan and oppose the Balochistan movement.
  • India: It has been supporting the destabilisation of Balochistan and will continue to do so. But for India to overtly support Balochistan can lead to a nuclear war with Pakistan. Besides this can also trigger freedom movements in Kashmir, Khalistan, Assam, Tamil Nadu and a dozen other places. Playing the US-Israel game will spoil its relations with Iran, Russia and China.
  • China: It will support Pakistan. USA’s aim in Balochistan is to block China from Gwadar. Balochistan today, Xinjiang tomorrow! China’s defence begins from Pakistan.
  • Russia: It is Pakistan’s new friend. Besides, the Pak-Iran link is supported by Moscow.

So, the geopolitics of the region negates any viability of an independent Balochistan. In addition, anti-Americanism in Pakistan has a complex dynamic. The US meddling in Balochistan will not create an ‘independent Balochistan’, but will initiate a war, perhaps, leading to World War III.

The situation in Balochistan certainly demands immediate attention. Out of 150 Baloch tribes three major ones Marris, Bugtis, and Mengals have had problems or are in conflict. The issue of Bugtis is greatly linked to the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti. A fair trial of those responsible is their demand. The Mengals can be communicated with. Some of the Marris leaders are more adamant and would need to be worked on. Pakistan needs to accommodate most of the Balochistan demands and satisfy the people, while ensuring its national interests. Half the demography of Balochistan which is Pakhtun are patriotic like the great majority of Baloch.

Bugti’s killing by Musharraf led to the present Balochistan crisis. The army or the ISI is not responsible. USA and India did not oppose Musharraf’s actions in Balochistan. This was a US-India baited gambit (to lure Musharraf into a crackdown and create turmoil for instigating independent Balochistan). Musharraf was praised by Washington and assured by Delhi of its non-involvement in Balochistan, luring him into the mess Pakistan faces today in the province. For all this time a covert war was being waged for claiming independence of Balochistan. During this period a worldwide network was established. This became overt in February 2012 as war with Iran is near centre stage in 2012. However, those who are planning war against Pakistan must be told that the choice is between peace and total war; indeed, the country will be defended at any price!

Taliban Threatens Zardari, Gilani, asks Pak govt. to Discontinue Swat Operation

Islamabad, May 24 (ANI): The Taliban has threatened Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and other top Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leaders, saying they would face dire consequences if the military offensive is not discontinued immediately.

In a letter to the PPP Information Secretary Fouzia Wahab, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) warned that the country’s leadership would be targeted if the operation against them is not stopped.

Confirming the report, Wahab said such threats would not deter either her or any other party leader.

“Such threats can’t weaken our resolve against terrorism, and the PPP will not bow before the terrorists,” The Nation quoted Wahab, as saying.

Backing the government’s decision to initiate a military operation against the Taliban and other extremists in the Swat Valley, she said the Taliban had overstepped its limits following the inking of Nizam-e-Adl Regulations.

She also criticized a certain section of the people who were making an issue out of the draft of the resolution adopted in the All Parties Conference (APC) recently.

Wahab said that either those people were trying to win the sympathies of Taliban, or the epicentre of their politics was Taliban. (ANI)

Indian Army General Indicting in Phone Call Tapping of Defense Ministry

Defense minister A K Antony held a one-on-one meeting with Army chief General V K Singh on Wednesday in the backdrop of the phone call tapping of Defense Ministry of India in which he asked Gen VK Singh to commit his offense and stop soliciting Indian Army against defense ministry.

A feud between General VK Singh and Defense ministry was started with the age controversy of Indian General and then series of allegations were imposed from the rivals of both sides and Gen Singh petitioned the case to the apex court regarding this issue.

Adding pain to injury, later V.K Singh accused Defense Ministry of not giving them proper funds for ammunitions and reported them with a brief that Indian Army is left with only two days ammunition if waged in war with Pakistan.

The on-going dispute between Defense Ministry and Indian Army General has created frustration in Indian Army and they are highly disconcerted with these controversial statements against themselves leading an upheaval in Indian Army as they claimed that this monstrous act was committed by Lt Gen (retd) Tejinder Singh, who was former chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency, along with "some disgruntled serving officers of the Military Intelligence, against whom disciplinary and administrative actions are in the pipeline.
